Free vs paid alerts

Free vs Paid Pokémon Restock Alerts (2026): What Paid Discords Actually Give You

Paid Pokémon restock Discords and apps cost about $6 to $9 a month. What they really add, prices checked Oct 19, 2026, red flags to avoid, and the free stack that covers most drops.

Quick answer: paid Pokémon restock alerts mostly sell speed on unannounced restocks (plus in-store scanning and a community). They can't win a drawing, an invite or a queue for you, and those are how most hot products sell in fall 2026. The big drops are posted ahead of time on free pages. If you shop a few releases a month, a free stack plus our daily-checked calendar covers nearly all of it. Paying only makes sense if you chase surprise online restocks every week.

We checked each service's own website on Mon, Oct 19, 2026 (ET). Prices change. Where a service's page didn't show a number, we say so instead of guessing. HotDropStock has no deal with any service on this page, and none pays us.

Its homepage shows lines like "Bypassing Akamai Bot Protection" and a patch note about reverse-engineering Walmart's app endpoint. We can't recommend a service that sells itself on getting around retailer protections

What paid alerts actually give you

  • Speed on surprise restocks. Amazon and Target restock without notice, often overnight. RestockR's Target stats put most Target restocks between 3 and 6 AM ET. A push alert at 3:20 AM is the main thing you're paying for.
  • In-store scanning. PokeNotify and RestockR sell local inventory alerts by ZIP code. That's real work a free calendar can't do, though shelf stock still moves faster than any scan.
  • Filters and price caps. Watching only the items you want, below a price you set, cuts out third-party listings at 2× MSRP.
  • A community. Discords share local finds and drop-day tips. That's worth something, and free servers and subreddits do it too.

What no paid alert can do

  • Win a drawing or invite for you. Walmart drawings, Best Buy invites, Amazon "Request invitation" and Pokémon Center invite emails are random picks. Being 30 seconds faster doesn't change the odds. See our Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon guides.
  • Skip a queue. Pokémon Center uses a virtual queue. An alert gets you in line sooner. It doesn't put you at the front (how the PC queue works).
  • Guarantee anything. Even services that sell speed write "not guaranteed" and "subject to change" on their own drop posts. Be wary of anyone promising a sure thing.

The big drops are announced ahead, for free

Most of this week's hot Pokémon sales were posted publicly before they opened, so a free source was enough:

  • Walmart drawing, Wed Oct 21, 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET: Restockd's free news feed posted the time and all five items with prices the day before (see our Walmart guide).
  • Best Buy Prismatic Evolutions ETB invite, Oct 19, $49.99: posted on free feeds around 11 AM ET. Requesting is free and you have 24 hours to buy if selected (our recap).
  • Delta Reign prereleases from Oct 24: on pokemon.com's Event Locator weeks ahead (Delta Reign guide).

The free stack (set it up once, about 15 minutes)

  1. Pokémon Center emails. Sign up for Pokémon Center email updates. Invite Only offers go out to subscribers at random (Restockd reported this for the Ascended Heroes ETB invites on Oct 5).
  2. Retailer accounts, ready to go. Keep your address and payment saved at Walmart, Best Buy, Target and Amazon, and turn on notifications in the retailer apps you already use. Walmart charges drawing winners automatically.
  3. One free tracker app. Restockd (free), or PokeNotify's free tier for local sightings.
  4. NowInStock browser alarms for the two or three items you really want.
  5. Our drop calendar. This week's table lists every drop with a status (confirmed, expected or reported) and the source we checked, updated daily.

When paying is worth it

  • You chase surprise online restocks every week and can act at 3 AM.
  • You want automated in-store alerts in a busy metro area.
  • You'll use the price-cap filters to stay at MSRP.

Then pick one service, use the free trial during a real release week, and cancel before it renews if it didn't help. At $5.99 to $8.99 a month that's $72 to $108 a year, more than one ETB bought at a $49.99 list price.

Red flags

  • "Bypassing" bot protection or "hidden endpoints." That's an arms race with the retailer, and it's the opposite of buying legit.
  • Auto-checkout or "AutoCart" features. Retailer terms can cancel automated orders (Nike's do). HotDropStock never covers checkout automation.
  • "Guaranteed" wins, or numbers with no source.
  • No refunds plus a pushy trial. Read the refund line first.
  • Referral payouts. 50% recurring referral payouts are why so many posts recommend one Discord. Know who gets paid.

Free, daily-checked, sourced. Every drop this week, with the status and the source we checked.

Frequently asked questions

Are paid Pokémon restock Discords worth it?

Only if you chase surprise online restocks every week and can act quickly, often overnight. Walmart drawings, Best Buy and Amazon invites and Pokémon Center invites are random picks, and the big drops are announced on free pages ahead of time, so paying for speed does not improve those odds.

How much do Pokémon restock alert services cost in 2026?

Prices on each service's own website on October 19, 2026: Poke Alerts $5.99 per month with a 3-day trial, RestockR Ultimate $5.99 per month with a 3-day trial, PokeNotify Premium $7.99 per month, and PokePings Premium $8.99 per month. Restockd describes itself as a free app and NowInStock's tracker pages are free.

What is the best free way to get Pokémon restock alerts?

Combine Pokémon Center email sign-up (invites go to subscribers at random), notifications in the retailer apps you already use, one free tracker app such as Restockd, NowInStock browser alarms for a few items, and a daily-updated drop calendar like HotDropStock's.

Do Pokémon restock alert services use bots?

Alert services use monitors that watch store pages and send notifications. That is different from checkout bots. Choose services that say you check out yourself, as RestockR and PokeNotify state, and avoid any that advertise bypassing retailer bot protection or auto-checkout.

Sources. Every fact on this page names where it came from, and the list below shows the sources and the dates we read them (Eastern Time). Drops are labeled Confirmed, Expected or Reported as defined in our Editorial & Sourcing Policy. Retailer rules change often, so confirm on the retailer's own page before you buy. Spot an error?
